Each of the eight selected viola students will receive two individual lessons (45 minutes each) with Veit Hertenstein, one individual lesson (45 minutes) with Garth Knox and one individual lesson (45 minutes) with Macarena Pesutic. The classes will be focused on both solo and accompanied viola repertoire.
Nobuko Imai will give masterclasses to all active students and auditors.
Active students will also receive coaching and training by Javier Lanis, official pianist of the masterclasses.
Professor Garth Knox will give a four-hour masterclass for the composition students discussing extended string instrument techniques. In addition, four students will also be selected for public half-hour sessions with Garth Knox to discuss their works.
