4 Individual Lessons:
The Academy offers every participant lessons with each of our master teachers. Unlike the typical masterclass setting which offers a more generalized commentary on performance, the private nature of these sessions allows teacher and student to address more pertinent performance issues that relate to each student’s specific needs. All lessons focus exclusively on the works of Chopin.
Masterclasses/Lectures:
The Academy will feature specialized masterclasses and lectures fashioned to help participants with specific issues surrounding the performance of Chopin’s works. Our guest lecturers will also share their specialized knowledge of Chopin in the form of workshops which will take the form of lectures and subsequent breakout groups applying newly learned skills. Workshops are open to the general public free of charge and will either be attended live or livestreamed, depending on university health protocols.
Festival Performances:
Students and the general public will have the opportunity to attend live recitals of Chopin’s music performed by our teaching artists and selected Academy students. Concerts will also be livestreamed, and all performances will be free of charge.
