What You'll Learn
Immerse yourself in the world of music while learning and growing alongside other young artists from around the world. Students may participate in:
Weekly private lessons with our distinguished faculty
Daily applied musicianship classes - Small group classes focusing on technique, keyboard theory, aural exercises, and dictation
Piano hour - a class covering the following topics: performance issues, practice strategies, master classes, listening activities, piano literature, music history lessons, an exploration of keyboard instruments, and more
Master classes with featured pianists and composers
Assisted practice sessions
Dalcroze Eurhythmics
Representative selections performed at Camp have included contemporary American composers, classical concertos, Bach inventions and dances, Chopin shorter pieces, Schumann and Tchaikovsky’s Album for the Young, Grieg’s Lyric Pieces, and pieces by Bartok, Kabalevsky, Burgmüller, and others.
