WSU Cougar Summer Camp offers an exciting week of music making in various settings. It is open to incoming 8th graders to graduating high schoolers. All levels of playing are welcome. Students will be assigned in one large ensemble: band, choir, or string/full symphony, or piano. They will have the opportunity to choose a specialty ensemble between jazz band, musical theatre, string chamber music, or enrichment courses that includes music theory, music history, reed making, etc. Camp Description: Every camper will work with outstanding Washington State University faculty members to improve their musical skills. This camp focuses on building playing fundamentals through private lessons, master classes, lectures and seminars, and performance opportunities. Students will also explore other areas of interest such as music theory, rock and roll history, jazz improvisation, conducting, and more. There will be lots of down time for evening activities and fun! Read more about Washington State University: Cougar Summer Music Camp Hide
