The peculiarity of the Géza Anda Competition is above all that the final concert and the significant financial endowment are not the end. Indeed, the Géza Anda Foundation undertakes to supervise the winners for three years and to offer them, among other things, opportunities for representation.
It is particularly fortunate that the Géza Anda Competition was able and allowed to take place in the hundredth year of the birth of the great pianist Anda – despite a number of problems and restrictions due to the global pandemic situation. . All those responsible for the preparation and organizational implementation of the competition acted with the utmost professionalism and at the same time with admirable sensitivity, so that the members of the jury were able to concentrate fully on the evaluation artistic achievements of the young candidates. My best wishes will accompany the winners in achieving their goals after they have demonstrated their exceptionally high level of performance in this Competition.
